Ohhh this was a good day… no… it was the BEST DAY EVER!!

The only thing that could have made me happier was Nathan not being sick back at the hotel room and us not having to forge ahead with our pre‑booked, non‑refundable tickets. Poor Nathan.

Those who know me well will understand how happy this day made me. I may even go again with Nathan at the end of our trip so he doesn’t miss out.

I took over 200 photos and videos, but I won’t bore you with those here. Just know that if you’re heading to Tokyo and you’re a Potter fan – DO NOT MISS THIS! My merch bill was a little excessive… but I am so, so happy. There was flying on broomsticks, walking through sets such as the Dursley's house, visiting Platform 9 3/4 and wandering through the Hogwarts express, oh and some wand shopping because every witch or wizard needs a wand! And did I mention Butterbeer??? MMMMMMMMM.

My son "invested" in a Limited Edition Hedwig Wand- only available in Tokyo and only at Warner Bros. He was pretty impressed with himself and assures my it will be worth a lot of money one day. Mate, I'm the queen of merch... you don't need to convince me...

We also went home via the Shibuya Scramble Crossing – AMAZING! My eyes just light up everywhere I go. The number of people is mind-blowing, the lights that brighten every street/shop/corner are mesmerising and I don't want to miss one single thing in this amazing country. That said, we still got lost, still missed trains, still underestimated (despite all the warnings!) how tricky it would be to find platform changes. But we did it. All by ourselves.

We feel accomplished. And tired. And sore. But we don’t care.

We’re off to Disneyland tomorrow!(Please pray for our feet, knees and backs…)
